Here are just a few examples of roof problems needing correction.
This turbine vent, installed on a flat roof, was "tie-in" with felt paper.  It needed to be flashed in with the modified membrane which covers this building.





Typical deterioration of shake roof ridge caps. They generally last only half the life of the shake roof itself.


As the ridge deteriorates, the shorter cut shakes on either side of ridge start to fall apart.

This Velux skylight leaked because the neoprene gasket and aluminum flashing were installed on the OUTSIDE of frame rather than under.


The shakes provide protection for the underlying felts, which is why this should be repaired before the sun/wind/rain/snow eats through this exposed felt.

This gutter evidently leaks because no flashing was installed. Someone stuck several plastic glue-spreaders in corner to "fix" it.

Vent pipe on flat roofs open up periodically.

Missing shakes at this point allowed water to migrate down into the wall separating 2 Townhomes.

This older modified membrane roof is severely cracked all over. Repairs make sense...up to a point.

Roof delaminating from edge flashing on this tar & gravel roof, allowing leaking into soffits.

Wall splitting open because no metal counter flashings were installed . Counter flashing used was "goop".


Leak occured, with water running out of a soffit vent, due to this inadequately flashed facsia/gutter/roof/valley juncture.

Area after installing an "ice&water" membrane, shake felts, and over-sized flashings tied in with all concerned areas.


               Reworked valley area, as needed to permanently repair hole.
